Potential Funding
for Training on our products
As part our ongoing commitment to our clients
we wish to make you aware of potential funding
that may be available to help towards the
cost of our training, this month we are
focusing on the Beyond 2010 Project which
covers the following counties Bedfordshire,
Cambridgeshire, Essex, Hertfordshire, Norfolk,
Suffolk.

What
is it?
Beyond 2010 is a funded programme providing
financial support for training. The project,
managed by the Essex Development and Regeneration
Agency, is aimed at Small and medium enterprises
(SME’s) in a number of sectors across
the East of England, The Financial Services
Skills Council (FSSC) are delivery partners
for the financial services sector.
How
can SME’s benefit?
Small to medium sized businesses can apply
for funding to help pay for training that
will address the critical needs of the business.
So what
training does the funding cover?
Training that meets the critical needs of
the business and leads to business improvement.
This can potentially include training on
your back office systems and processes.
How
much can a SME apply for?
The maximum that can be awarded as a grant
is 50% of the cost of the training up to
a maximum per business of £2,500.
For example, if the cost of the training
is £5,000 the maximum grant could
be £2,500. The grant can cover several
peoples training within each business up
to the maximum figures stated above.
Are
there any costs that cannot be covered?
Yes. Any element of VAT, subsistence costs
and the cost of any examination fees cannot
be applied for.
What
do I need to do to apply?
FSSC Relationship Managers will help with
the completion of a Training Needs Analysis,
application form, and a business registration
form. Participants will be required to complete
additional forms to claim for the grant.
